Fluid bed roasting, aka air roasting, uses clean, hot air to lift away chaff (the coffee bean skin) and prevent burning, creating a cleaner, smoother cup with brighter flavor notes. Because the beans float in a fluid bed of air, they roast evenly without scorching or developing bitter, burnt aftertastes. This method also gives us precise control over temperature and airflow, making every batch consistent and high-quality.
